Arduino Touch Switch for Home Automation

A touch switch with Arduino is a modern and convenient way to control lights, fans, or appliances in your home. It’s ideal for home automation projects and allows touch-based control instead of traditional mechanical switches.

Components Needed:

• Arduino Uno or any compatible board

• TTP223 touch sensor module or capacitive touch sensor

• Relay module (5V or 12V depending on load)

• Power supply for Arduino

• Load device (lamp, fan, LED, etc.)

• Connecting wires and breadboard

How It Works:

1. The touch sensor detects your finger using capacitive sensing.

2. It sends a signal to the Arduino digital input pin.

3. Arduino processes the signal and activates the relay module.

4. The relay switches the connected device ON or OFF.

Steps:

1. Connect VCC and GND of the touch sensor to Arduino’s 5V and GND.

2. Connect the OUT pin of the sensor to a digital input pin (e.g., D2) on Arduino.

3. Connect the relay module input to another digital output pin (e.g., D8).

4. Connect the load device to the relay output.

5. Upload a simple Arduino code to read the touch sensor and control the relay.

6. Power the Arduino and test — touch to toggle the device.
