DIY Mini Power Bank Using Wood & PVC Material

Materials Needed

  • Small piece of wood (for base/body)

  • Small piece of PVC pipe (for outer cover or battery case)

  • 18650 battery (1 or 2 cells)

  • Charging module TP4056 (with protection)

  • 5V Boost Converter module

  • Switch (On/Off)

  • USB Output Port

  • Glue / Hot gun

  • Sandpaper + small drill


Simple Wiring

  1. Battery → TP4056 (B+ to B+, B- to B-)

  2. TP4056 Out+ and Out- → Boost Converter In+ and In-

  3. Boost Converter Output → USB Port

  4. Add Switch between battery + line (optional)


How to Make

  1. Cut the wood into a small rectangular shape (like a small box).

  2. Hollow out or cut space to fit the 18650 battery inside.

  3. Cut a piece of PVC pipe as a cover or sliding case.

  4. Fix the TP4056 & Boost Converter on the wood surface inside.

  5. Insert USB port in the front.

  6. Sand the edges and apply polish or leave natural for rustic look.
