Creating a DIY self-stirring coffee mug can be a fun and practical project. Here's a simple guide on how you can make your own self-stirring coffee mug using easily available materials. Please note that this is a basic DIY project, and safety precautions should be taken, especially when dealing with electrical components.

Materials:

1. Coffee mug
2. Small electric motor (DC motor)
3. Button cell batteries (CR2032)
4. Battery holder for button cell batteries
5. Craft sticks or plastic spoons
6. Hot glue gun
7. On/Off switch (optional)
8. Insulated copper wire
9. Small plastic container or lid

Steps:

1. Prepare the Motor:

   • Take the small electric motor and make sure it's working.
   • If needed, solder insulated copper wires to the motor terminals.

2. Attach Motor to Craft Stick:

   • Glue the craft stick or plastic spoon to the motor shaft. This will serve as the stirring mechanism.
   • Ensure that the craft stick is securely attached and balanced.

3. Create Battery Holder:

   • Attach the battery holder for the button cell batteries to the side of the mug using hot glue.
   • Insert the button cell batteries into the holder.

4. Connect Motor to Batteries:

   • Connect the wires from the motor to the battery holder.
   • Make sure to connect the wires properly, observing polarity.

5. Secure the Motor:

   • Use hot glue to secure the motor to the side of the mug, ensuring that the stirring mechanism (craft stick) is inside the mug.

6. Create the Stirring Mechanism:

   • Cut a small plastic container or lid into a shape that can act as a propeller for stirring.
   • Attach this propeller to the craft stick, ensuring it doesn't touch the sides of the mug.

7. Optional On/Off Switch:

   • If desired, you can add an on/off switch between the motor and the battery holder for better control.

8. Test Your Self-Stirring Mug:

   • Turn on the switch (if you added one) and observe the stirring mechanism.
   • Make sure the propeller spins freely and stirs the coffee effectively.

9. Secure Loose Ends:

   • Use hot glue or other suitable materials to secure any loose wires or components.

10. Enjoy Your Self-Stirring Coffee Mug:
